Barry McGuire and John York

“Trippin’ the Sixties”

Barry McGuirre (Eve of Destruction) and John York (the Byrds) share a  musical tour of songs and stories from the wonderful era of the ‘1960s.  These guys were there and tell the stories of their personal adventures with the musicians of the time.

This was the first time in our five years of hosting house concerts that we had to prepare for rain.  We served the refreshments in our family room instead of in the backyard.  We were crowded but cozy.

Barry and John keep getting better and better.  Many folks commented on their spontaneous one liners that kept everyone laughing. They added some new songs to their show including “Johnny  Be Good” which John played on his 12-string with no effort at all.
