John York is a singer, composer and instrumentalist who is best known as a member of the Byrds from 1968-1970.  His music is firmly rooted in Folk and Country Rock.  John sings with a rich emotional voice and favors the 12 string guitar.   He has worked with “The Mama and The Papas”, Gene Clark, Roger McGuin, Gram Parsons and many more great musicians.  Since his time of performing with the Byrds, John has taken his music around the world and back.  He continues to perform and teach in the Claremont area.
