Melanie first attracted national attention when she stepped onto the stage at Woodstock in the summer of '69. In the years that followed after the release of her hit songs “Brand New Key” and “Look What They’ve Done to My Song”, she continued to record and tour.  UNICEF made her its spokesperson.  Her records continued to sell. She had her songs covered by singers as diverse as Cher, Dolly Parton, and Macy Gray. She won an Emmy and she wrote a musical about Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane. Now, Melanie is poised to enlighten new generations about what it means to sing with both passion and eloquence, to write with intelligence and emotion, and to inspire through song… and nobody does this better than Melanie.

Melanie was joined by her son, Beau who backed her up on guitar and a guitar cello with 6 strings, tuned like a guitar but played with a bow like a cello.
