Tracy Newman and Art Podell

Tracy Newman-Tracy grew up during the folk era of the 1960’s and was influenced by such groups as The Kingston Trio and Peter, Paul and Mary.  In the 1970’s, she became a founding member of “The Groundlings”, an improv performing group where some members of Saturday Night Live were discovered.  Tracy went on to co-write for TV shows such as The Newhart Show, Cheers and Ellen.  She now performs her music full time following the music circuit from house concerts to festivals.


Art Podell-Opening for Tracy was Art Podell, who was a member of the New Cristiy Minstrels in the 1960’s. Art  presently hosts KPFK's Roots Music and Beyond.   Backing up Art
